FAQs ::: Therapeutic Massage

What is a therapeutic massage?

Therapeutic massage is a treatment consisting of a number of hands on techniques designed to decrease muscle tension and improve circulation and general muscle relaxation.    It is performed by a licensed massage therapist, who has had extensive training in muscle anatomy and the application of massage techniques.

Can I request that my massage  therapist work on specific regions?

Absolutely!  The entire purpose of a massage therapy session is to make you feel better.  Your massage therapist will ask you detailed questions about what you would like to work on at the beginning of the session.  Your therapist may suggest that some session time be spent on regions related to your complaint, but ultimately will focus on the areas you identify as most problematic.
